I support the Portland protesters, the moms, the dads, the teachers, the medical workers, the students, the old folks and the young folks. I watch the news by myself in my living room and cheer them on against the federal troops.

A friend from Carmel is fostering a baby pine tree.  A five year commitment until the tree is ready to be planted in the town.  She is considering getting a second sibling tree.

I love the books by Willa Cather. I am now reading ONE OF OURS.  This novel is one of her later books and is about a young man who goes to World War 1.

The sun came out for a few minutes in the early afternoon.  I rushed to open the doors and windows and then had to put on a jacket to stay warm.
