I started reading Tracy Clark’s mystery novel BORROWED TIME.  Set in Chicago, part of a series.  So far so good.

I remember when I was working and raising kids as a single mother I craved time to read.  And now I have it and I miss those busy times in the past.

We got through the slow Sunday afternoon by watching a movie.  The teenager recommended many movies and we settled for Gone Girl.  I knew the story but the plot was surprising and disturbing for the teenager.

Spent time in the late afternoon dead heading the potted geraniums on the deck.  Makes them look neater but I suspect the plants are disappointed they are not allowed to fulfill their goal of producing seeds.
