I am reading a new book WINNERS TAKE ALL, the elite charade of changing the world, by Anand Giridharadas.  If it hadn’t been recommended by the New Yorker, I would never have picked it.  It is quite compelling in the theories of what is happening in our world.  Yes, it makes sense.  But I have only read the first part of the book.  Slow reading. And it doesn’t make good conversations at the dinner table.

We have successfully protected the food from the ghost rat for the last couple of days.  Everyone is being careful.  We now believe we are smarter than this rat.
