A friend came over to watch the TV series Olive Kitterage.  I had already seen it and was willing to see it again.  We both had read the book. But she was shocked at how mean Olive was to her husband and son and could barely watch the show.  I found it a study of marriange and fmaily relations and kind of liked Olive.  We saw the first two hours and will watch the next two hours soon.
