The tulip tree down the street has blossom, big pink flowers .  The first new flowers of the season.  And yet it is still really cold and wet,  spring is just about here.  The elaborate light display that the police station has every year is coming down.  It seems a bit gutsy to have such a friendly welcoming building for something like the police department.
