The rain water seeped through the gaps in the kitchen ceiling. The roofing company said they did not anticipate rain. Well neither did I. today they put the roof covering on and sealed it with tar and gravel. Just a little bit more to do tomorrow.

I have always advised people to walk lightly on the roof because I thought it was fragile, but these roofers are bouncing around with wheelbarrows and steaming pots of tar. The house shakes and roars and no one has put a foot through the roof. It must be stronger then I think.
