the heat wave continues, in the 90's today and cooling down to 65 at night. It is almost unbearable. Yesterday afternoon I lay on my couch with a wet wash cloth on my forehead, reading, napping, feeling hot, doors open. a swift wind came up for a couple of hours, blowing through the quiet town. I had to close my front door because the wind was so disruptive.

There are six Blue Heron nests now down the street, filled with adolescent yakking birds.
