Early morning walk by Lovers Point. the ice plant is blooming, a violet purple, magenta, vibrant, saturated color that looks unreal. Every year these drab plants burst forth into this unreal color for about a month.
I walk carefully on the uneven trail, watching the ground. Then I stop and look at the restless ocean. I no longer can walk and look at the same time. I am getting older.
