I am fascinated by these pictures by 16th Century artist Arcimboldo. Pictures made with fruits, veggies, plants. They are appealing and grotesque.

Rain cleared this morning, Plumber and two helpers and two trucks came this morning and dug up the street. I and several little neighborhood boys peered into the hole and saw the broken pipe. yea!

I celebrated by going to Pacific Grove and eating a perfect bear claw at Pavels.
