Spent two hours with a friend writing this morning.  writing and talking and listening.

Went to a breakfast event this morning on the tenth floor of a local hotel.  I spent the time looking out the windows at Monterey and the harbor.  I am not sure what the speeches were about.

more fishing boats out this morning in the bay. I wasn't out after dark to see if they were doing night fishing.

Went to see Isle of dogs at the lighthouse cinema tonight.  I was totally captivated by the  movie even though dogs are not my best friends.

The security screen door is up.  Watch out flies we are coming after you.

OK something is happening.  I am getting screens on my windows and doors.  Goodbye flies.  I am ready for a buggier climate.

My house is invaded by flies with this warm weather.  I am now having screens made for the windows and doors.  sigh

I had an unexpected conversation with a friend today that was free and joyful.  such a treat.

one thing after another, just keeping up with the hours until now it is bedtime.

hail, snow, rain and and now a rainbow outside my window.  Spring.

rain started up again.  Have to get out the bucket to catch the drops.

spent the afternoon with the 16 year old driving to Salinas.  wonderful conversations.

We are bombing Syria tonight.   When are we going to learn.

Best book I have read recently is  GOSPEL OF TREES, a memoir by Apricot Sinclair.

Writing class went well. The wind came up in the morning so we were a bit cold but we kept writing.

For the second time in a week the window washers did not show up at the agreed upon time.  Need to look for someone else.  Windows still dirty.

I expected it to be a quiet day but instead I was busy all day and now am ready for bed.

OK, I did it, i finished my 2017 taxes on the proper forms in ink and now they are ready to go to the post office for mailing.

And trump is still president

Some days I just feel sad.  Maybe it is the cloudy weather or a difficult conversation I had with a friend or watching Rachel Maddow on TV.  I will never know the cause of sadness.

waiting for the rain to come.  a long wait.

Watched Jesus Christ Superstar, the concert on NBC tonight and was impressed.  I have loved that music since it first came out.
