There are several cats in the neighborhood who doze in my front yard.

I threw out some old telephone books that were on the dinning room shelf.  For years. Idon't use them but some how I thought I had to keep them.  nope today I threw them out.

Am reAding a new exciting book by Alice McDermott, one of my favorite authors.  THE NINTH HOUR.

Ate Pizza for lunch and then again fr dinner.  enough already with the pizza.  I am ready for salad.

cold morning, dark at 5am.  Still I was up and getting ready to go to the Cherry  Center for morning zazen.  I am grateful for my heater.

We had our meeting in the lobby of a fancy hotel overlooking the Pacific ocean and it didn't cost us a thing.  It was a pop up meeting.

I am so excited by these high school kids with cell phones organizing to change the gun laws. And Trump is still president and is still tweeting.

cold night coming.  And I am ready.

Just watched Get Out with two friend and now my nerves are all jangly

A friend came down for the week end from the Bay area.  I am so lucky.

Went to Physical Therapy today again and Trump is still president.

We went for lunch at an old favorite restaurant by the conference center. It had changed from being an Italian cafe to a brittany crepes place.  What happened?

I am reading Ursula Le Guin's last book, No Time To Spare.  I am reading it slowly so it will last longer.

Sometimes I don't have anything to  say so I have to make up something. UMMMM

Had the best soup ever at Cafe Luminere today. Maybe I will go again tomorrow.

OK, the big guy with the big truck came today and spayed oil on the wooden deck.  He carefully explained that it would extend it's life.  Maybe the deck will last longer then me.

Spent several hours sitting outside talking with my amigos, laughing, questioning, wondering.  We will keep doing this until what?

I seem to be in a sleep marathon.All I want to do is sleep all the time.  I want to grow out of this stage of life.

warm spring like day.  The pine trees are beginning to flower.  But the live oak trees look dead.  And Trump is still president.
