I am now reading SOLDIER GIRLS by Helen Thorpe.  All I want to do is keep reading, it is so interesting.

Took the day off yesterday, an old fashioned mental health day.  Napped, red, listen to music with my eyes closed, watched the morning rain hit the ground. I should do this more often.

rain today , maybe.  I can be patient.  the rain is surely coming.  Foggy morning. I didn't sleep so well last night, already I am looking forward to my nap this afternoon.

My daughter asked if my feet hurt and I said no but today they are a bit sore.  Mostly they work just fine and I treat them well with comfortable shoes.

Just finished a computer task that I have been avoiding for a week.  Now what will I worry about.

Friday, September 19, 2014

The fog has come in this late afternoon.  Maybe my house will cool off. Stopped off at the library and picked the books waiting for me.  I love the library.

Thursday, September 18, 2014

windy warm day.  A few drops of rare rain and then more sunlight. Shorter showers, drier gardens.  This is what climate change looks like from here.

Monday, September 15, 2014

Microsoft just took over my computer and uploaded window 8.1.  Now I can't do anything.  It is so frustrating.

Sunday, September 14, 2014

At the workshop yesterday I watched the sun inch across the floor slowly disabling anyone in its path.  And workshop happened while my mind was someplace else.

Several cats in the neighborhood spend the day in my yard.  I suspect that it is because I don't have a dog.  Most of my neighbor have dogs.  Not me.  I hope they will catch the rodents that are tunneling in my yard.  Sometimes I see a cat stalking around the holes in the ground.  Good cat.

The newest book by Elena Ferrante arrived this week.  THOSE WHO LEAVE AND THOSE WHO STAY.  I can hardly wait for a block of time to read it. I love her work.

Tuesday, September 9, 2014

I took my lap top computer to Juice and Java this morning and actually worked on one of my writing pieces.  I wonder why I haven't done this before.  it was fun.

I have started reading a South African mystery story writer name Jassy MacKenzie. I am on the second book, a bit too violent for me but I am keeping going.  I think South Africa is very violent.

today I finally saw the whales and porpoises in ocean.  I kept looking at the ocean knowing they were out there.  Hadn't I seen their pictures endlessly on facebook.  Today I saw them.  yea.

I was first going to say that I read the New York times every day but that is not true.  I subscribe to the New york times and it is delivered to my home daily but sometimes I let it sit around for a couple of days before it goes in the trash pile.

Wednesday, September 3, 2014

I watered some plants in the front yard.  I didn't want my neighbors to see me but I think they did.  It is almost a sin to water plants nowadays.

Tuesday, September 2, 2014

I finally finished George Orwell's book Homage to Catalonia, his experiences in1937 in the Spanish civil war.  Very griping.   Now I want to read some more of his non fiction books.
