I am organizing a dinner brigade for some friends who are having twins this summer. I suspect they will be very tired so we are planning to deliver a good dinner every night for awhile to keep the parents fed and alive, plus we get to see the tiny babies. What a treat.

I accidentally got locked in a back room at the Cherry Center and couldn't get out. I knocked on the door, tried to jimmy the lock. The lock had just been put on. I didn't even know it had a lock. I waited until someone came through the room to get out and then tried to make it into a funny story. did get some laughs. It is scarey to get locked in.

Such a beautiful day. Went to the park for a walk instead of the Sports Center. It was a test, could I do just as much exercise outside in a beautiful setting. the answer is no. Tomorrow it is back to the noisy sports center. UGH.

We've had two day time burglaries this week in my neighborhood. All morning I was nervous as I went about my activities wondering what I would find when I got home. Nothing missing today. I hope they catch the burglars soon.

Went to DMV this morning and took my dirvers written test.  I passed but missed  two guestions.  I thought I knew everything but I don't.

Went to the garden shop to pick out veggies for the garden. I was overwhelmed by the colors and smells as I walked through the massive yards of plants. So beautiful. If I could I would have taken all of them home with me. Maybe it would be easier to just move into the shop during these spring days. so beautiful.

If you drive up Madison Street, up beyond Herrmann drive turn off you can observe the Blue heron rookery.

These birds nest in the tall pine trees in the gully and from the street you are right there with them.

I now go frequently, rolling down my window and stopping in the no parking zone just to look and count the new babies.

This evening I saw WE HAVE A POPE, a new Italian movie. It is great. I highly recommend it. Of course most of the speaking parts go to old men, the cardinals. But it was still very good.

My house heated up in the sun today and now it is cooler outside but the house is still 80 degrees. Even with the wondows and doors open. If the weather does change permanently to warmer weather I have a lot to learn about managing my house emperature. I did see the fog in the bay. The fog never totally goes away.

Watched BRIDESMAIDS on TV last night. this is the second time I saw it. it was very funny but I didn't like the happy ending. I don't believe in happy endings. I cannot think of what kind of ending that I would like.

Sometimes when I am sitting in my room at the end of the day I wonder what I did that day to be so tired. It seems I just go about my business, nothing special. I did check out the plants at Orchard Supply for the garden. Soon I will be buying some. Now I am going to read some before I go to bed.

My sister gave me a bar of Cote D'or chocolate that she bought in Paris recently. I love it. I had it in my car this week and now as I try to eat the piece I broke off my fingers are coated in soft chocolate. I am busy here licking my fingers. Thank you Patty.

I order books through the library website and sometimes they all come in at the same time. Now I have a stack of books on my desk that I want to read but no way will I get them done in the two weeks allocated. Some I might be able to renew and some will be returned unread. I can put them on my lsit again if I remember to.

Last night I saw the flash of lightening through my bedroom skylight. What a great storm. I wondered if the lightening could have come in through the glass and hit me. Does lightening go through glass. I will have to look it up.

I started watching Doc Martin series tonight, the magic little netflix disk. Such fun. I have many episodes to go. Something to look forward to each night. windy, stormy outside. I feel cozy at home in my house.

I have been fooling around with the meetup.com website to see if placing an announcement will allow more people to know about our Friday noon sitting. I keep misspelling the word meditation. When I finally got it right several people signed up. I think I am lost without spell check. I need to be more careful.

Overcast morning. Supposed to rain today. It will come whether I am ready or not. Just another example of me not being in charge inspite of all my magical thinking.

The apricots are growing. I showed the tree to a friend who reminded me that apricots don't grow here. I am not sure he changed his mind after looking at my tree.

Drove to Los Altos to have Easter lunch with my cousin Kathy's family. The hills were all bright green. Poppies and mustard plants lined the highway. So beautiful. Luckily I was a passanger so I didnt have to watch for cars.

Went to a body meditation class this morning. Now I am relaxed and ready to sleep. I need to do a room meditation class so I can clean up my bedroom and deal with the stacks of books.

I wet to eat lunch at San Carlos Beach today. I didn't last long, a cold wind was blowing over the ocean and I couldn't find a protected spot. So I came home and took a nap. Naps are my solution to everything.

At East Village this morning I kept changing taables as I was looking for the best spot. The inside table was too noisy with the espresso machine and the music. Outside in the shade was too cool. Finally in the sun with the sun to our backs was perfect.

My friend was very patient as we kept getting up and looking for the perfect spot. we finally were able to talk for hours.

My bedroom reading chair is broken. I keep propping it up but it just isn't so comfortable. I have to either give up reading or get a new chair.

There are two stores in town I can shop. Macy's and Mum's in Pacific Grove. Now that my taxes are done I can start looking.

Went to look for a restaurant for lunch at noon. All my favorite places were full so I went to Peno's by the conference center. as a local I have free parking in the parking lot. almost empty. I ordered a Italian sausage sandwich. not so good. Maybe I should have waited in line with the crowds.

This afternoon two young deer came to my front garden. their ears were twitching but they did not jump away. They came to find food in the garden. They have already eaten the edible flowers. I don't know what is left for them. The deer population is growing in our neighborhood. I am not sure what that means.

I did g see the Hunger Games this afternoon and thought it was really well done. I was the only older woman in the theater. Nice to see s many young people out and about. I recommend the movie. I also loved the books.
